My friend (the Prophet) advised me to do three things and I shall not leave them till I die, these are: To fast three days every month, to offer the Duha prayer, and to offer witr before sleeping
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ـ هُوَ ابْنُ فَرُّوخَ ـ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله
عنه قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلاَثٍ لاَ أَدَعُهُنَّ حَتَّى أَمُوتَ صَوْمِ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَصَلاَةِ الضُّحَى، وَنَوْمٍ عَلَى وِتْرٍ.
