Tasmid means uprooting the hair
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ قَالَ ‏:‏ ‏
"‏ سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ وَالتَّسْبِيدُ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ ‏:‏ التَّسْبِيدُ اسْتِئْصَالُ الشَّعْرِ ‏.‏
