Un homme a demandé au Prophète (ﷺ) : "Ô Messager d’Allah, nous voyageons en mer et nous avons peu d’eau. Si nous l’utilisons pour les ablutions, nous aurons soif. Pouvons-nous faire les ablutions avec l’eau de mer ?" Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a répondu : "Son eau est purifiante et ses animaux morts sont permis à la consommation."
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَرْكَبُ الْبَحْرَ وَنَحْمِلُ مَعَنَا الْقَلِيلَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأْنَا بِهِ عَطِشْنَا أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ " .
